Announcement of International conference organized jointly by Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanisation Engineers (TIIAME) and Leibniz Institute of Agricultural Development in Transition Economies (IAMO) in Tashkent (Uzbekistan), 30 October – 2 November 2018
In order to implement tasks outlined in the Decree No PQ-2909 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On further development of the higher education system of the Republic of Uzbekistan" on April 20, 2017, to improve structural changes in education, enhance of integration science and industry, and strengthen international cooperation from October 30 to November 2, 2018, will be held an international conference at the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanisation Engineers (TIIAME) entitled “Social science knowledge and sustainable agricultural development along the Silk Road” jointly organized by
Leibniz Institute of Agricultural Development in Transition Economies (IAMO), Germany. The conference is included to the ‘Plan of international scientific and scientific-technical conferences of the Republic of Uzbekistan at 2018’, approved by the Decree № 178-f of Cabinet of Ministers RUz on March 6, 2018.
We invite to the conference national and international researchers with their contributions working on agricultural economics and related fields.
The organizers of the conference: The Ministry of Higher and Secondary specialized education, The Ministry of Agriculture, The Ministry of Water resources, The Ministry of Innovative development the Republic of Uzbekistan, Scientific Research Institute of Agricultural Economics, Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers and Leibniz Institute of Agricultural Development in Transition Economies (IAMO), Germany.
The aim of the conference: During the conference aims to provide a platform for knowledge exchange, discussion and networking in the tradition of the historical Silk Road. The conference will be structured around three sub-themes: Social science contributions to the agricultural reform agenda; Higher education and knowledge for agricultural development in Central Asia; How to promote and implement agricultural innovations. Also discuss an issues of agricultural reforms, land use, the climate change impact on agricultural production, labor resources in rural areas and migration, increase the export potential of agricultural products among researchers.

The conference language: English
Researchers currently based at academic institutions in Uzbekistan are invited to contribute to the conference by submitting articles summarizing their work in up to 1000 words prepared in English language in line with international requirements until 10 September 2018 to agriknowledge2018@gmail.com. Based on a peer review process, a limited number of contributions will be selected for presentation during the conference
The conference papers of the authors who have taken part in the conference and made presentations in the relevant sections will be posted on the TIIAME’s web-site and published in the conference proceedings, also in a special issue of the interdisciplinary, peer-revived electronic journal ‘Central Asian Journal of Water research’. Rejected conference materials or late submissions of deadline will not be returned to the authors.
The results of selection of papers will announce to the authors until 20 September 2018.
